In your blender, mix 1/2 cup of cream of coconut and an 8-ounce can of crushed pineapple packed in juice. Don't strain the crushed pineapple to bring an even sweeter taste to your piña colada. Add 1/3 cup of either light or dark rum, as well as 1 tablespoon of lemon or lime juice. For a darker, richer taste for your alcoholic beverages, opt for the dark rum. Cover and blend until it's smooth. Add 4 cups of ice cubes and continue blending your piña colada recipe. You'll know it's completely blended once the drink is thickened and almost creamy.
