History of Memorial Hermann Life Flight

Описание к видео History of Memorial Hermann Life Flight

Memorial Hermann Life Flight made its first flight on August 1, 1976. Led by Chief Medical Officer Dr. James "Red" Duke, the program was only the second of its kind in the nation. Fire Chief L. O. "Whitey" Martin, who was in charge of Houston's newly-founded EMS services, approached Duke, who was in charge trauma services at Hermann Hospital, about the possibility of a civilian air ambulance program. The idea stuck. Since its inaugural flight, the crew and fleet of Life Flight have undergone many changes, but their goal remains the same. Learn more about Life Flight at http://spr.ly/6004yOw6I.
