EVERY cyclist should visit Taipei. BRING YOUR BIKE - Taiwan Ep.1

Описание к видео EVERY cyclist should visit Taipei. BRING YOUR BIKE - Taiwan Ep.1

Please be advised, these are just some routes that I have done and I feel comfortable riding. These are NOT sanctioned bike routes. Navigating any city, including Taipei, is dangerous and the ability to ride in traffic is necessary to complete these routes.

Most of these routes I have ridden already. I may have made some modifications to the route due to some issues I encountered whilst out on the road.

All of these routes start from the hotel I stayed at while in Taipei, VIA HOTEL. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Taipei. It’s in a good location for food and it’s close to Taipei Main Station to get to/from the airport. Also, they are very accommodating to cyclists. They allowed me to leave my bike box in the lobby. I chose to bring my bike into my room but they offered to let me leave my bike in the lobby as well. They have 24H concierge.

This is the 106Z ride from this video. I did an out and back on this day, but this loop here connects to a beautiful reservoir on the way back into the city. I have not personally ridden this section but I plan to in the near future.

For those looking for something easier, the city has many kilometers of riverside bike paths. They are all pretty flat with buttery smooth tarmac and lots of amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
