Here is a quick demo I did with a looped guitar part showing off the Chandler Germanium compressor. We use these all the time at our studio Decade Sound in Tacoma, WA. These compressors are awesome on guitars of all kinds, bass, string instruments, piano, and drums. However we do not find it to be the best vocal compressor. We have others that are usually our 'go to' for vocal compression. I think the Chandler Germanium would work fine with some singers with the right mic and preamp combination.
