TRIP LOG BELOW:

After the Covid pandemic left me grounded for well over a year, I was extremely excited to get back in the air. My first flight saw me travelling with Loganair from Edinburgh (EGPH) down to Exeter (EGTE).

Despite incurring a small delay on the ground at Edinburgh, I was extremely impressed with my overall experience with Loganair and their customer service. The complimentary snack and drink onboard was certainly a nice touch.

Unfortunately, due to a nearly full flight (which was nonetheless nice to see considering the circumstances), I was unable to sit in an ideal seat for filming and was first of all placed in seat 3F, before being asked to move again to seat 2A in order to help operate the emergency exit if needed. Neither of these seats are ideal for filming in the ERJ aircraft, and I would not recommend them if you are interested in filming your flights. The cabin was very clean however, and the old BMI Regional seats were still very comfy, even after 20 years.

You can see that upon descending through the thick cloud cover, we pass over some beautiful Devonshire countryside. Meanwhile, after landing at Exeter, you can see that the Red Arrows were on the ground having carried some displays in the area earlier that day, and I was also finally able to get some semi-decent footage of the West Atlantic 737 that frequents Exeter to carry out mail flights.

Overall, Loganair and the ERJ provided an excellent service down to Exeter, and I am really glad I gave them them a try.

Enjoy!
