While they can all be used to create texture in your artworks, they have different properties.

🎨 Impasto is a clear paste which can be added directly to your paint to increase paint volume and create impasto techniques without changing the paint colour. Use a brush or a palette knife to create exciting expressive artworks.

🎨 Modelling Paste can be applied directly onto the surface for a textured background. Dries to a hard white finish and can be painted over when dry. You can also mix it directly with acrylic paint to create a soft pastel colour for your textured art.

🎨 Light Moulding Paste has the stiffest texture of the three pastes. It’s ideal for building peaks and creating thicker textured backgrounds. It can be applied with a palette knife or shaped with sculpting tools. Once dry, it can be painted over. Like Modelling Paste, it can also be mixed directly with paint for a softer pastel colour.
