Update: It has been brought to my attention that I have over - generalized in saying that "...garnets do not fluoresce." This is typically the case with pyrope-almandine garnets due to the iron content in almandine, though there have been some exceptions found in . Grossular garnet may also fluoresce. I'll likely revisit this topic once I find appropriate samples to make a video.
