This is a sound test to make sure you are hearing left and right audio from the correct side of your headphones or speakers. The audio starts from the sound balance being in the center which slowly fades to the left channel, then moves back to the center before fading slowly to the right channel. This is helpful for a 2.0 or 2.1 stereo system to check if anything is out of balance with the audio. It can also be used to check 5.1 or 7.1 multichannel home theater systems, Dolby System setups or DJ stage setups, but will only test the left and right channels.
