The 85 ha job – Maximum efficiency with KRONE ZX 470 / OptiGrass and Swadro TC 1570

We were there late last summer when contractor Janssen from Rhede an der Ems carried out a major contract for farmer Mathis Meijer in Winschoten (NL) to harvest 85 hectares of green fodder.
Mathis Meijer runs a dairy farm with 350 cows and a milk yield of 11,500 liters per cow. He wants to make everything as efficient as possible – both in the barn and in the field. For some time now, he has been farming his land according to the CTF (Controlled Traffic Farming) principle, whereby the land is driven on using fixed lanes 12 m apart
LU Janssen is optimally equipped with the KRONE Swadro TC 1570 and the KRONE ZX loader wagon. In addition, the short chop loader wagon with the OptiGrass 28 cutting unit ensures optimum forage quality and ideal conditions for unloading in the silo and further processing in the feed mixer wagon.
