Welcome to my Channel and today on this video I’ll be sharing information about the Chinese Government Scholarship.

They’re more than 200 universities that are covered under this CSC provided by the Chinese government.And they’re more 3 types of scholarships that the government offers to foreign students in these Universities.

Type A Program- A partial or full scholarship offered for undergraduates, graduates, general and senior scholars.It is awarded to students from countries that have general or educational exchange agreements with Chinese government.

Type B – Chinese University Program – A full scholarship offered for graduate students. It is awarded only by designated Chinese universities and provincial education offices in autonomous regions or selective provinces.

Student Exchange Program – The exchange program is designed for both general and senior scholars for a maximum period of 12 months. The applicant will have to apply with both the Chinese government and the foreign partner. This program is based on the exchange and cooperation agreements between the foreign partners and the Chinese government.

CSC requirements :

1. Must be a citizen of a country apart from PRC (People’s Republic of China)
2. Must be healthy – both mentally and physically
3. If applying for a program taught in languages other than Chinese, you must meet the specific university’s requirements for language proficiency, academic qualifications, and others.
4. Undergraduate program - Must be below 25 years and have an excellent high school diploma or an equivalent.
5. Masters Program - Must be below 35 years and have an excellent Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent.
6. Doctoral Program – Must be below 40 years and have an excellent Master’s degree or an equivalent.
7. General Scholar Program – Must be below 45 years and have a high school diploma or a higher educational qualification.
8. Senior Scholar program – Must be below 50 years and have a master’s degree or be an associate professor.
9. Chinese-taught undergraduate programs/General scholars program– Should have passed the level 3 HSK during application.
10. Chinese-taught senior scholars programs – Should have passed the level 4 HSK during application.
11. Chinese-taught postgraduate programs – Should have passed the level 5 HSK during application.
NB:(Application forms must have the required certificates or documents attached to them. Incomplete applications may get rejected.)

Documents Required
1. Transcript of highest academic achievements - Transcripts in languages apart from Chinese or English should carry a notarized copy of the transcripts translated into Chinese or English.
2. Graduation certificate notarized by eligible authority; if the candidate is still studying, they must submit a notarized copy of the certificate of expected graduation or the university-issued student’s status.
3. Copy of your passport – A scanned copy of the information page must be submitted. Passport should not expire for the next two years. If the passport is going to expire, you must renew it; if not renewed for certain reasons, then valid documents with details in the passport must be submitted.
4. Proposal of your research or study plan

6. Valid Visa if any
7. If you plan to study for more than 6 months, you must submit a physical examination form. The required medical tests and examinations have to be completed and must carry the attending physician's signature along with the hospital’s seal. This form is valid only for 6 months, after which the tests have to be repeated.
8. Pre-admission letter from the university, if applicable (if already accepted into the university); this letter or the admission itself will be given priority.
9. Applicants under the age of 18 must submit legal documents of their local guardians.

Application Process
Every candidate who aspires to win the CSC scholarship should follow the following application process to increase their chances:
1. Identify and learn about the various affiliated universities offering CSC scholarships.
2. Get to know about the various programs these universities offer for scholarship holders.
3. Identify scholarships that will suit the applicant in terms of program, eligibility, major, and interests.
