Supreme Court on Presidential Reference: On Thursday, the Supreme Court heard the petitions seeking a deadline for the President and Governor's approval on the last day and reserved the decision. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta argued that the court cannot order governors to take decisions in a particular manner. Senior advocates Kapil Sibal and Arvind Datar opposed this argument of the Center. The case was heard by a Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice BR Gavai instead of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. The bench comprised Justice Suryakant, Vikram Nath, PS Narasimha and AS Chandrachudkar. President Draupadi Murmu had asked 14 questions to the Supreme Court.

Supreme Court on Presidential Reference: सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने गुरुवार को राष्ट्रपति और राज्यपाल की मंजूरी की डेडलाइन तय करने वाली याचिकाओं पर अंतिम दिन सुनवाई की और फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया है। सॉलिसिटर जनरल तुषार मेहता ने दलील दी कि अदालत गवर्नरों को किसी खास तरीके से निर्णय लेने का आदेश नहीं दे सकती। वरिष्ठ वकील कपिल सिब्बल और अरविंद दातार ने केंद्र के इस तर्क का विरोध किया। मुख्य न्यायाधीश डीवाई चंद्रचूड़ की जगह इस मामले में चीफ जस्टिस बीआर गवई की अगुआई वाली संविधान पीठ ने सुनवाई की। पीठ में जस्टिस सूर्यकांत, विक्रम नाथ, पीएस नरसिम्हा और एएस चंद्रचूड़कर शामिल थे। राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट से 14 सवाल पूछे थे।
