The Value of Value Studies

Especially in watercolor there are so many many important decisions to be made while painting that it is extremely important to have some of those critical choices taken care of in advance. This is where a value study really helps!

We can already plan out the pattern of our lights and darks, where our focus is going to be, where the lightest lights and darkest darks will be implemented, and have an overall outline of what is going to be happening on the canvas before we even start painting.
In this video I cover two different techniques: broad stroke drawing, and brush stroke using ArtGraf.
