The Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) is delighted to facilitate information sharing between volunteer lawyers in each of the target jurisdictions in SEA.

This session delves into the complexities of enacting privacy legislation in the U.S. We can get to understand the intricacies of a sectoral approach to privacy and the influence of the U.S. federalist model. Moreover, exploring how the state-driven approach has fragmented privacy policy compared to more unified international systems and how this impacts privacy online. This session shed light on the multitude of actors and interests in the realm of U.S. privacy policy.
