I have been using a cheap Chinese's 50 amp plasma cutter for the last 10 years and find it great and no need to buy expensive machines if you are only using a plasma cutter for a hobby. But what I have realized is that not all plasma torches are created equal because its not only the price you pay for your replacement plasma torch .You also need to consider the cost of your plasma cutter consumables. You will find if you buy a branded plasma torch the cost of your tips and electrodes could be as much as 10 x what you will pay for the generic version. So I tend to stick with plasma torches that will work on theses models cut 50 /versa cut, cut 60,versa cut 40 ,60 amp plasma cutter , primeweld cut60, versa cut 40, lotos plasma cutter.
