Look, we've got a lot of double overdrives on the market. That isn't a bad thing; several of them are incredible. But it's become it's own semi saturated market where you need to be doing something noteworthy to stand out. Enter the Gladio by Cornerstone Music Gear. The Gladio is a dual drive designed to emulate the iconic sounds of Dumble amps. Full disclosure; I've only played like one Dumble in my life and I can't actually recall what it sounded like so instead we will just focus on what this drive sounds like. The gladio is a hyper versatile two channel preamp with intuitive and flexible switching, a ton of open vs compressed, bright vs mellow voicings, and a massive gain range. You can dial in sparkling cleans or mellow jazzy thickness. Focused rhythm parts or huge open distortion. And it all sounds damn good. I'm a fan. You should be too.
