The Goat Track, cycling up one of Brisbane's best gravel climbs

The Goat Track takes a narrow one-way gravel road from the Samford Valley just out of Brisbane up to the Nebo-Glorious Road. From there you climb up to the cafe or descend back into Samford or The Gap. This is Darren's first time up the Goat Track and he tells us about his Canyon CX.

The Goat Track is a steady climb of 7.8% gaining 234 metres of elevation in 3.1 km. The road is unsealed, high quality gravel as it is used for road crews accessing other parts of the mountain. It is one-way up only so you won't get any nasty surprises coming around the bends. Don't let the gravel put you off. Anyone on a road bike with moderate gearing and slightly wider tyres can climb this with ease.
