Adam’s Song works because of restraint, space, and production — not flash.
This is my attempt to recreate the album version as closely as possible.

While the emotional weight comes from Mark Hoppus’ lyrics, the song’s impact is driven by arrangement and production rooted in simplicity. Despite Travis Barker’s syncopated, cymbal-driven verses, every element is deliberately restrained.

In this cover, I focused on faithfully recreating the original recording, including the harmonic guitar layers, harpsichord texture, and piano in the bridge. Rather than chasing Tom DeLonge’s exact amp, pedal, and guitar combinations, I prioritized stereo placement — positioning multiple clean and overdriven guitar tracks across the spectrum to preserve richness without overcrowding the mix.

This project pushed my ear and Pro Tools production skills just as much as the countless hours spent practicing Travis Barker’s signature sticking patterns.
