Shortly after the Eunos incident, around 12:20 am on Wednesday, the SCDF responded to another alert, this time to a fire at 30 Defu Lane 9. Upon arrival, it was evident that the fire involved the contents of a two-storey industrial building.

The swift action of firefighters led to the evacuation of five individuals from the building before the SCDF's arrival. Similar to the Eunos fire, about 70 firefighters and 19 emergency vehicles were deployed to the scene, indicating the scale of the operation.

Despite the challenges posed by the intensity of the blaze, the SCDF personnel managed to extinguish the fire within two hours, utilizing four water jets and two unmanned firefighting machines. However, one civilian was assessed for smoke inhalation and conveyed to Sengkang General Hospital for further evaluation.
