➝ Interpretation :

“I’ve found the light at the end of my tears.”

Quoted from the last chorus of the song, Brave Shine depicts feelings of being lost and the struggle found at the lack of one’s own power. Despite this, the song has made much emphasis on the hope of getting through such difficulties, which is described in different instances, which seems to go in an order. For example, at the first chorus, one of the lyrics go, “At the end of my brandished blade, a prayer filled with my desires will transcend time,” which may implies an ongoing conflict and a wish for it to end, while in the last chorus of the song a lyric goes, “I've found the light at the end of my tears,” which likely implies a resolution that leads to a new beginning.

We felt that this song was appropriate for the theme as it largely speaks of what seems to be a guiding light; that even though a person may be bare and stripped of everything they have, there will always be a way out of such difficulty, which we believe to be represented by the ‘light’ or ‘brave shine’ that is repetitively mentioned in the song. To add to this, we have also designed the story of for our characters around this theme, where each and every character in the end finds their own ‘light’ that drives and motivate them to the next stage of the story.

Years after the Holy War of Youtatia ended, the world was on a brink of chaos followed after the disappearance of "The Lost Hero of Highland". People had no hope and had lost their moral compass. One day, however, the Holy Order of Youtaelya appeared before the people and made them believe that God was there to forever protect the land and bring prosperity. People cling on to this "Light" that was brought to the lands, and before long, thousands had followed the religion with blind faith.

However, for some, that "Light" wasn't the holy order. Nor was it the kingdom's rule and law. For some, the truth is their "Light" and only when they are stripped of everything they have and laid bare, will the light come and shine on the true meaning of their lives.
