World rushes to adopt the ‘India Stack’ while ‘UPI’ goes global; Indian leather shines abroad- Ep-67

With over 99% of India’s population possessing a digital ID, an "Aadhar card”, billions of UPI transactions being carried out each month, and the shared efforts of both the government and the private sector to digitize all operations, the ‘India Stack’ story has been a phenomenal success.
India’s successful digital journey, from creating Aadhar—a unique digital identity that is accepted across the country—to creating a wider set of open APIs called India Stack, has ushered in a digital revolution around the globe. Manufacturing units of leather products are spread all over India with small-scale units popping on a regular basis. While the majority of total production is used to meet the country's domestic needs, India has historically been a major leather exporter. With a shift in trade and political dynamics, exports have experienced a sudden boom. Even the pandemic had little impact on the leather industry. India’s leather industry is aiming to touch the 10 billion USD export mark within the next three years.
