Here in Ohio we're getting one last blast of a drag racing event thanks to Bill Hoskinson of The Old Man's Garage / Street Racing Channel and the fine folks at Edgewater Motorsports Park in Cincinnati, welcome to the first Plates and 28s, also known as Sick Day. Fortunately for us the world gave us some amazing weather for the event and the facility was packed with hundreds of cars to show and to race in all kinds of classes!

Uncle Bob McVay and I brought the Pontiac 455 powered 1970 Pontiac LeMans that he piloted into the finals at the 2024 Pontiac Nationals, to see how we could do in the 13.0 class. Not having any idea what the turnout would be for the event, or how competitive the classes would be, we just wanted to get there to show support for the event and the businesses supporting it!

Tom Bailey got involved, giving it the SickDay Moniker. Steve Morris of Steve Morris Racing Engines not only was involved but actually came down AND raced his Trailblazer SS. Jimmy Dale came. "Titanium" Tony came. The entire extended SRC family was there, and it really couldn't have gone much better.

This video is focusing on our experience Saturday through the 13 second class, I tried to include anything and everything I shot so it's a long long video I hope you enjoy! Major thanks to everyone who came and everyone who helped make this event possible, hope we get to do it again next year!
