JORDAN North is the bookies' favourite to win I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! in the nail-biting final tonight.  But the 30-year-old presenter revealed that he's had much less luck as a young singleton on the dating scene.  The BBC Radio One star confesses that he is so bad at romance that he once shook a love interest's hand at the end of the night.  And Jordan reveals the "awkward" encounter was just one of a series of blunders that have haunted his single life - and he has deep insecurities about the way he looks and talks.  Jordan said: “I went on a first date about 18 months ago and I’m not good at these because I once shook my date’s hand at the end of the evening.  “I think you’re supposed to hug them or kiss them. It was awkward.  “You’re not supposed to shake hands are you really, it’s very British.  “Rule number one on a first date is don’t mention your ex, which I have done before. Don’t mention them on your first or even the second or third.  “I normally wear a nice new shirt from Topman on a first date and maybe a blazer or a coat.  “I agree that if it’s a man and a woman going on a first date then the gentleman should pay. If it’s a same sex couple then whoever initiated should pay.  “And if you know you’re not going to go on a second date but they’re alright looking, you think, we’re all adults – shall we just have sex tonight?”  Jordan's revelations about his love life come on his Help I Sexted My Boss podcast with etiquette expert William Hanson.  He confirms he is single on the show, saying: “I’ve never lived with a partner.  “I’ve had them stay over but after two days I’m like you’re doing my head in, p*** off. Sleeping in bed with a partner is hard because I’m a starfish. I like to be full on spread out.”  Jordan also admits to a series of insecurities that have held him back romantically.  During another episode, he added: “People have broken up with me but I’m thick skinned so it’s onwards and upwards. I don’t have a heart of stone but, you know.  “When I broke up with an ex I found out a lot about myself. I am very annoying and very needy and I wouldn’t have thought that.  “From my point of view, when it comes to breaking up, you should treat your relationship like a tax return. Always keep your receipts, because when you’re moving out you can be like, I paid for this DVD, I bought that from John Lewis.”  Jordan also reveals that I'm A Celebrity is not the first reality show he has been asked to compete on.  He said: “I got asked to go on Celebs Go Dating. I thought about it and was like nah, for many reasons. I’m getting embarrassed now. It was nice to be asked.”  The star says he is deaf in one ear, suffers from such bad claustrophobia that he would rather walk 17 flights of stairs than get in a lift, and is also insecure about the way he looks and talks.  He spends his free time watching The Apprentice and Love Island and recently read The Line of Beauty book by author Alan Hollinghurst “about posh gay peopl
