A man was walking around town with his pants down around his ankles...

A police officer saw him and said, "Hey Buddy! Pull your pants up!"

The man was in a daze and didn't respond to the officer's order...

The officer repeated his order, "Hey Buddy, pull your pants up or I'm going to arrest you for indecent exposure!"

The man still didn't respond, so the officer arrested him and took him to jail...

The next day, the man went to court and the judge asked what the charge was.

"Your Honor this man is charged with indecent exposure," said the officer.

The judge asked the man, "Sir, are you married?"

"Yes, your Honor, I've been married for 3 years," replied the man.

The judge then asked, "Do you have any children?"

"Yes sir, I have 9 children," replied the man.

The judge was surprised, and asked, "You've only been married for 3 years, and you have 9 children? How can this be?"

The man told the judge, "Well your honor, the first year I was married, my wife had a pair of twins... "

"The second year, we had a set of triplets, and the third year, my wife presented me with a set of quadruplets."

As the judge listened to the man, he thought for a moment...

Then he slammed his gavel down and said, "Case dismissed! You're free to go."

The arresting officer protested, "Your Honor, this man was arrested for indecent exposure! How can you let him go?"

The judge retorted, "This man is innocent. You heard him say so himself!"

The officer was puzzled, "But your Honor, what do you mean? How can this man be innocent?"

The judge raised his hand and said, "Look here, the man told you himself... "

"He has been married for 3 years. The first year he was married, he and his wife had twins... "

The judge could see that the officer was still puzzled...
