In this dire hour rife with political and social uncertainty, a planet that is rapidly deteriorating, everything becoming stuck behind a paywall or in a damn subscription model, we need a hero. Nay, we require a hero. And who knew that that hero would come in the form of a little black and white beagle, whose best friend is an unfortunate bald boy, and has the alias Joe Cool, or more commonly known as Snoopy.

Snoopy has been a mainstay in pop culture for decades. Featured in countless comic strips, dozens of television specials, and a few films. He’s been adorned on clothes, shoes, household items, theme parks, and everything in between all around the world.

Snoopy as a character is over 70 years old, but if you throw a rock in the direction of your nearest social media app, you’ll see he has been enshrined in thousands of edits, fancams, and profile pictures, specifically from members of Gen Z, as if he was a creation made for them.

The generation has lovingly referred to him as “just a little guy.”
