Kaensak was an extremely technical counter-fighter and a well-rounded fighter in general; this enabled him to adapt his style for any opponent and still land that brutal body kick. His fights against Lamnamoon Sor Sumalee where he demonstrated his incredible clinch defence to shut down the lanky clinch-fighter are legendary.

Kaensak won the Lumpinee stadium title at two different weight classes and also won the Fighter of the Year Award twice in a row in 1989 and 1990.
