India generates over 1.75 million tonnes of e-waste annually, yet millions of old laptops and smartphones are hoarded due to fear of data breaches. Our project directly addresses this challenge by designing a secure, user-friendly, and auditable data-erasure solution to build trust and encourage responsible IT asset recycling.

🔹 One-Click Bootable USB Creator – No technical expertise needed
🔹 Cryptographic Erase + Overwriting – Supports SSDs, NVMe, and HDDs
🔹 Tamper-Proof Certificates – Digitally signed proof of data erasure
🔹 Drive Health Mapping – Visual report of sector-wise health status
🔹 Self-Destruct USB Option – Reformat USB after wipe completion
🔹 Offline Recycler Directory – City-wise certified e-waste handlers
🔹 Android App – For certificate tracking and recycler lookup

🔄 User Journey – Step by Step:
1️⃣ Download and run SecureWipe.exe
2️⃣ Insert a blank USB – Tool auto-creates bootable wiping USB
3️⃣ Boot target device using USB
4️⃣ Confirm and perform wipe (cryptographic or overwrite)
5️⃣ Save certificate + logs to external USB
6️⃣ Option to self-destruct USB and restore it for reuse
