In this video we teach you how to install a smart fan control that will allow you to control your fan and fan speed remotely from your phone. In the video we will be installing a Lutron Caseta fan control which is designed to work with the Lutron Caseta Hub and App.

There are a few important things you should know before installing a Lutron Caseta smart fan control device. In order to connect the device for app control you will need to install and setup a Lutron Caseta smart bridge: https://amzn.to/2MYmuDP. The smart bridge is the wireless link between the smart fan control switch and the internet so that it can be controlled remotely. The smart bridge is simple to setup and install and connects directly to your router and is about the size of a hockey puck.

The Lutron Caseta Fan Control also requires a neutral wire in the switch box for installation. So a Hot, Load and Neutral wire are required for installation.

Once your Lutron Caseta Fan Control is connected you will be able to remotely turn on or off your fan or adjust the speed from the Lutron App. You can also set schedules and actions that will interact with other smart home devices in your home.

The Lutron Caseta Fan Control works on the same Lutron Caseta app as other Lutron Caseta smart home devices and it can also be connected to smart voice assistants like Alexa, Google Home and Siri for smart voice control of your smart fan.
