Paul Ormerod is an economist and author of a number of best-selling popular books. The 'Death of Economics' sold 1 million copies worldwide, 'Butterfly Economics' made the top 10 overall on amazon.com, and 'Why Most Things Fail' was a 'Business Week' US Business Book of the Year in 2006. His latest book is 'Positive Linking: How Networks Can Revolutionise the World', described by the Sunday Times, the UK's biggest selling quality newspaper, as a 'big, clever read'.

He studied economics at Cambridge University, and did a post-graduate degree at Oxford. In 2006 he was elected as a Fellow of the British Academy of Social Sciences and in 2009 was awarded a DSc honoris causa by the University of Durham, UK, for 'the distinction of your contribution to economics'.

Paul has spent most of his working life in the private sector. He is a regular speaker around the world at both business and academic conferences.
