January 31, 2015. Our first Research and Policy session is with Sunil Iyengar, Director, Office of Research and Analysis at the National Endowment for the Arts. Sunil will uncover data and discuss the role of arts and how it relates to the achievement gap in our society. “My crystal ball: exploring the at-risk achievement gap and its connection to our sector,” is sure to reveal incredible data and anecdotes that will inform SphinxCon attendees about how their organizations fit into the bigger puzzle, and what can be done to aid in improving the achievement gap. Sunil is joined on stage by Maud Lyon, President of Greater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance; Clay Lord, VP of Local Arts Advancements at Americans for the Arts, and Oliver Ragsdale, President of the Virgil H. Carr Cultural Arts Center.
