Kioti CK3510 tractor does the job with a bit of struggle. Plus, an update on our pregnant heifers!

While I still don't have any regrets buying the Kioti CK3510SE, I would have considered going bigger had I known that I'd be using it to haul round bales which some can easily weigh 1500+ pounds. I don't think these bales were that heavy, but nevertheless I wasn't able to lift the bale high enough to maneuver it into the hay ring which was a huge disappointment. The tractor feels very unstable with a heavy load, but that is likely to be resolved if/when I get the tires loaded with extra weight. Nevertheless, I now know I won't be able to comfortably lift heavy round bales with the 3510. Bummer!

Our heifers, Midnight and Nebula, were unexpectedly bred last summer when the neighbors bull jumped the fence. While I never officially got them tested, I'm very convinced they are pregnant and should be delivering around the end of April/early may of this year. Excited but also nervous!

I've always said this wouldn't be a "how to" channel, but the more I personally gain knowledge and experience from this lifestyle, the more I can hopefully share with others who are also pursuing or aspiring to pursue this type of life.
