This video explains Parallel Processing in Uniprocessor System along with Basic Uniprocessor Architecture and different Parallel Processing Mechanisms.

Parallelism can be achieved in Uni-Processor systems using two main methods:

1. Hardware method of parallelism:
-Multiplicity of Functional Units
-Parallelism & Pipelining within the CPU
-Overlapped CPU and I/O operations
-Use of Hierarchical Memory system
-Balancing of subsystem Bandwidth
2. Software method of parallelism:
-Multiprogramming
-Time sharing

This is lecture 3 for introduction Parallel Processing and Computing (PPC) unit 1 or Advance Computer Architecture (ACA) according to CSVTU bhilai.
