A Pragmatic "Review" of Video Game Swords (Fire Emblem / Skyrim / Witcher)

The main focus in the design of RPG swords is usually style over anything else, but perhaps some of these would be reasonably practical in real life?

I have to wonder though what happened between Oblivion and Skyrim that turned the swords into weirdly proportioned, oversized paddles...
