A discussion and example of Open G Tuning and chord shapes you can use in your songwriter, I demonstrate shapes I've used in a couple different songs and how to use a capo to change the key but use all the same shapes.

The linked document provides the chord shapes and the actual chords based on playing the chords open and putting your capo on the 2nd and the 5th fret for Open A and Open C tuning respectively.
