Welcome back to my little bamboo hut amidst the vast green forest. Today's video is a 44-minute journey, capturing a day of my steady, simple work, yet filled with the care I give to life.

Early in the morning, while the mist still blankets the path, I trek through the forest to find the smoothest reeds to dry and make brooms. That's my profession, my livelihood, that helps me earn rice and fish sauce to get by each day. Between drying the reeds, I visit my vegetable garden and my heart aches to see the insects destroying the green sprouts. Instead of using chemicals, I choose a traditional method: chopping up wild chili peppers and garden garlic to make a pesticide to save the vegetables.

While waiting for the chili water to infuse with its spiciness, I light a fire and bury an old sticky rice cake in the hot embers. The smoky aroma of the kitchen fire mingled with the fragrant scent of sticky rice from the mountain fields is the taste of home, of the peace and tranquility that is hard to find in the city.
