Synthesiser Dave - Episode 4 - Casio CZ-101

When he’s not dashing across the country to save a distressed ARP synthesiser, Dave can be found in his workshop tending to the sick and injured synthesisers that are brought to him by their worried owners. His healing hands and his stash of components in their peculiar little sets of drawers will bring life where there was none, joy where there was sadness, square waves where there was a kind of funny
blippy noise and a nasty burny smell.

This month, Synthesiser Dave breathes life back into a Casio CZ101. The machine was part of Casio’s Phase Distortion line of synths from the mid-1980s, and Dave is rather fond of them.
