BSNLEU is the champion of unity and struggles in BSNL - Let it's 11th All India Conference become a grand success.
BSNLEU has played a glorious role in uniting all the unions and associations of BSNL and continuously fighting against the anti-BSNL policies of the government. Before BSNLEU became the recognised union, there was no common platform of all the unions and associations in BSNL. Only BSNLEU created it.


Privatisation of the Public Sector is the main policy of the government. In spite of this, even today, BSNL remains as a 100% government company. This has become possible only because of the leadership role played by BSNLEU, in organising heroic joint struggles uniting the entire Executives and Non-Executives.


It is the Union Cabinet decision, based on the recommendation of the 3rd PRC that, employees of loss making PSUs, including BSNL, are not eligible for Wage Revision. But, the massive struggles spearheaded by BSNLEU forced the DoT to issue letter to the CMD BSNL, to sign the Wage Revision agreement and send it for government's approval. Only based on this DoT's letter, Wage Revision Committee is formed.


Payment of the monthly salary was delayed. Former CMD BSNL openly told "payment of salary to the employees is not my priority". Only BSNLEU organised continuous struggles against the Management, demanding payment of salary on the due date. Today, salary is being paid on the due date.

BSNL is continuously running in loss ever since 2010. Due to the financial crisis of the Company, settlement of employees demands has become increasingly difficult. But, in spite of this, ordinary employees view BSNLEU as their champion.


Due to the confidence the common employees reposed on BSNLEU, the Union is continuously winning the Membership Verifications and is retaining the status of the Main Recognised Trade Union in BSNL.


Even in the last Membership Verification, BSNLEU increased its voting percentage by 5.8%. There is no trade union in the entire Public Sector of our country, which has won the Membership Verification continuously for 8 times. In the coming Membership Verification also, BSNLEU will win with a big margin.


Undoubtedly, the forthcoming Coimbatore All India Conference will further strengthen BSNLEU.
