In this video I try to explain what causes exposed pole pieces to buzz when you touch them. Then I do a very simple mod to a pair of vintage Fender Jazz Bass single coils. You can use copper shielding tape to ground the alnico magnets. You can use a pickup cover that is without holes to insulate them. But neither of these solutions are appropriate for this situation. Luckily there's an even simpler way. It's so easy, it makes me wonder why Fender don't so this in the first place.
