Imagine if real estate developers in Uganda adopted a systematic arrangement of housing where every estate has proper road networks, drainage systems, recreational centres among other facilities.
Well in Uganda, the Akright city in Entebbe is being used as a benchmark for many real estate developers urban planners as ways of consolidating Echo friendly cities supporting a wider grid in sanitation delivering critical services to the natives.
A visit by Makerere University urban planning students to the Akright city to bench mark on how Uganda can transform its real estate and planning for cities to cop the rest of the world was on.
The chairperson Uganda national physical planning board Amanda Ngabirano says that it is not too late for Uganda adopt echo friendly cities just like the western world.

As case study the Kright city is designed as a self-sustaining community of twelve smaller neighborhoods, grouped based on the price of the housing in each neighborhood. The development includes schools, shopping malls, a hospital, supermarkets, a golf club and a golf course and perhaps such cities in the country spear head urban development.
