No Foot Too Small is proud to announce its first Suite Social event in Nebraska. This significant event, sponsored by Carson Wealth Management, will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from 5-8 PM at their office
located at 146000 Branch Street, Omaha, NE.

The Suite Social aims to raise funds to build the first birthing and bereavement suite in Omaha at the Nebraska Medical Center. These unique spaces are specially designed to provide comfort and privacy for families experiencing the heartbreaking loss of a child, away from traditional labor and delivery environments. With two successful suites already completed in Dubuque and Davenport, Iowa, and a fourth partnership in development, this marks No Foot Too Small’s first expansion out of state.

The Omaha Suite Social is an opportunity for the community to learn about the mission of No Foot Too Small, understand the growing need as statistics continue to rise, and support the construction of this essential initiative to change the standard of care for families who will not be bringing their babies home. With a total budget of $264,000, construction is scheduled to begin October 15 in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day if funds are raised.

Birthing and bereavement suites are not commonplace in the United States, but the need for these spaces is underscored by statistics showing that 1 in 4 pregnancies end in loss and every 160 babies in the U.S. is born still. Last year, the Center for Disease Control announced a 3 percent increase in infant mortality rates across the country.
