French Alps news and a fitness update. Why did I get so unfit? 4 months with very little exercise and just a couple of rides through the Winter. If you like cycling in the French Alps then you are in the right place. Road cycling the mountains of the French Alps is my passion. I am based in Haute-Savoie, home of the 2027 UCI 'Mega' World Championships which will see 19 UCI Gold medals up for grabs from handisport, mountain biking, track riding and the road racing events and time trials.

Cycling in the French Alps is brought to you from my base at the foot of Mont Blanc close to Chamonix, France. I aim to bring you some stunning scenery, tips and knowledge and share my passion to inspire you to visit the French Alps.

I’m Mike and with my Wife Jude (Judith ) we moved to the Alps in 2007. Now in mid 50’s. Weekly uploads in the cycling season and all content is filmed and edited by me. We like GCN but we'd like you to subscribe to us too please! I will aim to be informative and add some British humour as I ride around the Alps.
