As a video maker, one of the most fascinating workflows I've developed involves creating visuals from scratch and then bringing them to life using advanced tools. Recently, I worked on a project where the goal was to create a video of our artist and then animate it using AI. Here’s how the process unfolded:
The first step was to pick out a high-quality stock image of a model with features similar to him.

Using keywords like "man with strong jawline," "black hair," and "wearing glasses," I sifted through the available options until I found a close resemblance. My tool offers a range of high-quality images, so it wasn’t long before I stumbled upon a portrait of a model whose facial structure and overall look mirrored that of him. The goal was to find someone who could pass as him in a stylized or artistic manner rather than an exact replica.

Once I found the perfect image, I downloaded it in high resolution to ensure it could handle the visual effects and animation later on.

After downloading the photo, I brought it into Photoshop to make subtle adjustments. I enhanced the facial features slightly, adjusting the lighting and shadows to give the model a more cinematic feel. I made sure the skin tone, jawline, and hairstyle were emphasized in a way that would be recognizable.

Using Photoshop’s powerful tools, I also cleaned up any imperfections, sharpening the details around the eyes and mouth, which would be crucial when the image transitioned into video. This preparation is important, as any minor imperfections become exaggerated when the image is animated.

Once the photo was finalized, the exciting part began: turning the static image into a moving, lifelike video. After animating the image in Runway, I exported the video in high resolution. The result was a seamless, lifelike clip of a our artist look-alike. We showed him the result and he love it right away, he even make joke with it "When did I take this photo? I don't remember taking it."
