The Life Time Journey of Development in Kalkini

World Vision Bangladesh has started implementing its interventions at Kalkini of Madaripur District in 1987. The organisation has worked tirelessly as Kalkini ADP (Area Development Program) in the areas couple of decades to change the lives of poor and disadvantaged children.

World Vision Bangladesh formed 10 child forums in this areas in order to develop children capable citizen in the future. About 6,169 deprived children were benefitted through sponsorship program. Many sponsored children from this community are moving ahead to change the society as they fulfilled their dream and become educated by this program.

World Vision Bangladesh started its interventions and contributed to health, nutrition and WASH facilities, educational development, disaster management, livelihood and value chain programs benefits to the most vulnerable children, families and communities here in this areas. World Vision engaged community leaders, faith leaders and formed village development committee to find out the problems, ensure the development and monitor the progress for the community development.

Recently Kalkini Area Program has ended his journey. The people of Kalkini are now ready to continue their development programs when World Vision leaves. They would like to go long way with the vision of World Vision.
