The Frisian Woodlands (Fryske Wâlden in West Frisian) is situated in the eastern part of Friesland, the Netherlands. It is mostly sandground. In this area you can also find "pingo's ", small lakes formed in the last ice time. This area is perfect for walking and bicycling.
