Step-by-step guide for updating the firmware of Lypertek PurePlay series true wireless earbuds.

1. Download and install the Lypertek PureControl App from the Google Play Store.

2. Take your PurePlay true wireless earbuds out of the charging case and make sure they are switched on and in pairing mode.

3. Go to the Bluetooth settings and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.

4. Select your Lypertek PurePlay earbuds and wait for them to pair.

5. Launch the Lypertek PureControl App. If you start it for the first time, allow location access.

6. Go to Settings and select FIRMWARE UPDATE. If a new version is available a notification will show up.

7. Select “Update Now” and read the following instructions carefully.

8. Select “Go to settings” to directly enter Bluetooth settings.

9. Enter your PurePlay earbud’s paired device information and select unpair.

10. Wait for the PurePlay earbuds to show up again and select them for pairing.

11. Use the Back Arrow to return to the firmware update procedure screen and select “Update now”.

12. Wait for the firmware update to finish. This can take several minutes. Do not interfere with the update process!

13. Once the progress is at 100% wait another couple of minutes for the update process to finish. If the firmware update was successful, you will see the message “Update successful”.

14. Close and “kill” the PureControl app via the Recent Apps menu of your device. Re-open PureControl and check Settings to verify the new firmware version of your PurePlay earbuds.

If something went wrong during the update process, please remove and re-pair the PurePlay earbuds and repeat these steps from step 5.
