When people encounter Christians, they must see Christ. We must evaluate our lives and examine whether we are living the faith. Examine your performance to understand whether you are learning and applying life's lessons appropriately.

Could there be a small bad seed that is germinating within you? Could there be a bad experience, hurt, or resentment that is germinating or taking root? The earlier it is dealt with, the easier it will be to remove.

We must set our affections on Jesus and not on the possessions we can never take with us. Being His disciple costs everything. What are you willing to sacrifice? To love Christ is to know Christ. How can you love a God you do not know? You get to know Him by reading the Bible.

To be God's disciple you have to be willing to die to yourself and for the cause of Christ. If you are not willing to die, then you are not ready to be a disciple.

Are you willing to count the cost? Don't start something that you are not ready to finish. There is good news. The reward for discipleship is greater than anything that you could imagine. When you give up your life, God rewards you later. What would you gain, if you gained the whole world and lost your soul? Being a disciple does not mean that you do not make mistakes, but it does require that you persevere. A righteous man may fall seven times, but he will get back up again. Your faith is not measured by how many times you fall, but by how many times you get back up.
