In this video we build a simple IC 555 (astable mode) circuit in Tinkercad to make an LED blink. This step-by-step demo is perfect for beginners and school projects — with clear explanation, component list, and troubleshooting tips.

What you’ll learn:

What the IC 555 Timer does (very simply)
How to wire a 555 in astable mode
How resistor + capacitor control the blink speed

Materials / Components:

IC 555 Timer (8-pin)
9V battery
Breadboard & jumper wires
LED + current limiting resistor (220Ω–470kΩ)
Capacitor (e.g., 1µF)
Tinkercad (we use its Circuits simulator)

The IC 555 is a tiny, low-cost timer that teaches timing, pulses, and how R-C circuits work — great for robotics timing tasks and school projects.
