[Metal Gear Solid Remix] Stormheart - Encounter (Alert Theme/Boss Battle Theme)

Hello! Today is one of my closest friends' 20th birthday so I wanted to remix something special for him as a present :) I've literally been working on this for the past 6 months (intermittently) and it's been so hard to keep my mouth shut about it LOL (I think I almost let it slip once exactly what I was working on and I had a heart attack lmfao). His favorite game series is Metal Gear Solid and since last Christmas he's been excitedly streaming himself playing through all the games on call with me (whenever he has time) and I have to say I really enjoy it! We're currently midway through MGS3 with plans to finish the entire series...at some point.

Regardless, as he was playing through MGS1 the Encounter theme really caught my ear (specifically because I recognized it from Smash lol) and so I wanted to try my hand at remixing it. While this remix is pretty short all things considered it was not at all a smooth project. Aside from it being from a series I have no experience remixing Encounter itself is not an easy song to remix (particularly in my style) and I didn't have any other remixes to reference other than the Smash Ultimate version. So, I had to improvise for most of this track which involved me reworking the drop at 1:22 several times. I don't think it sounds very "MGS-ey" but I figured since it's a birthday present it might be best to try and give the track as much of my own flare as possible :)

I spent so many hours agonizing and agonizinh over if this track was good enough not just to upload but to actually gift to someone that I care so much about but I eventually decided this was the best it was gonna get unfortunatley.

All in all, it was a 15-16 hour remix (which yes took much longer than unfortunately. Thank you I know this) and hope you enjoy it!
