Streets of Rage Remake v5.2 - Roo, Mania (No Deaths, No Police Specials) - SoR1 Route

The hardest route in the game featuring 3 fights against Abadede, two of the Blaze clones fights, and one of the toughest elevator fights for Roo who can easily get thrown over the side. Somehow, with a LOT of practice on the last 3 stages, I was getting to the point where I was only getting killed once or twice in a playthrough, and from there it was just a matter of playing over and over until I got a run that did it without ever dying! I was super happy with this.

It's a brutal route to clear in general. The SoR1 versions of Galsias are considerably tougher than their SoR2 and SoR3 counterparts, the constant kneeling to avoid damage the whip ladies do is a nuisance, and the karate guys are brutally difficult depending on what type you're facing (each colour's a distinct version with different behaviour). The SoR1 Signals are tough, but are among the easier enemies on this route as they're fairly predictable.

The bosses on this route are also very tough and a death can easily result from many of them:

• Abadede's running punch can easily kill you and you've got to get through 3 of them total.

• The Blaze clones can suddenly dish out a lot of damage if you get hit and fail to lock them down in a hurry.

• Mr. X is tougher than on the SoR2 route because you have to face him with the SoR1 Galsias that can pull out knives.

Very nasty stuff!
