Ephesians

In our study, Dr. Burge addresses our old, sinful nature. He shows us how Paul advises believers to shed their former corrupt ways (Ephesians 4:22) and be renewed in the spirit of their minds (Ephesians 4:23), empowering us to live out our new identity in Christ. Practically, we can overcome our fallen nature by heeding God’s Word, as outlined in Psalm 119:9-11 and Romans 6:1-2, and by memorizing key scriptures like Galatians 2:20. Additionally, we must "put on" the new nature, created in righteousness and holiness (Ephesians 4:23-24), by focusing on heavenly things as advised in Colossians 3:1-4.
