This video tells the story of the community of Island Green in Horry County (pronounced ORR-ee), South Carolina. It shows the amazing nature and wildlife that we see every day. It shows what we're going through with developers and development in Island Green, every day, and why we need this to stop.

October 9, 2021, After this documentary was released, Mother Nature dropped 3 inches of rain. One of the roads the developer had a contractor working on collapsed. (A contractor who is also on the Planning Commission who recused his vote when it came time for the Planning Commission to vote on development for this community.) A video was released by a resident who saw the damaged road on Sunday, October 10. There were no safety barrels or any kind of safety measure to keep anyone off that road. This was a huge safety concern. A reporter from WPDE came and did a report, in his article he wrote...and I quote, "The damage happened, Brown said, because his crews weren't able to properly reinforce the part that was damaged by the end of the day Friday, and the weekend rain washed away the fill dirt before they could do so on Monday."
A little due diligence and overtime would have kept that from happening, maybe. And it's issues like this that keep our flooding fears at the top of the list. This is the video of the road:    • New road collapses after 3 inches of rain.
